Delete Telegram Account by Self-Destructs

Telegram has a feature that, if you do not open your Telegram Account for 6 months, Telegram will automatically delete your account. But you can change the time period by the following steps.

1.  Open your Telegram account on your device and go to settings on the left side Menu Bar.

 2.  Click on Privacy and Security.

 3.  Scroll down to the Advanced section and click on Delete my account if away for.

 4.  Select Account self-destructs as 1 month.

 5.  If you do not open your Telegram Account in this time period, your account automatically with all your account data.

This Account self-destructs option gives you a chance to change your mind. All you need to sign in to your Telegram Account, open and use your Telegram Account, Account self-destructs time period will automatically reset. Continue using Telegram Account will prevent your account to delete.

Delete Tegram Account Manually from Telegram Website

There is no "Delete Account" option in Telegram Mobile App. if you want to delete your Telegram account instantly, follow the below steps

1.  Open Telegram Account Delete Webpage. Enter your Telegram account phone number with the proper county code.

2.  You will get a confirmation code on your Telegram account from a Telegram service notification. Enter that code on Confirmation Code Box.

3.  On the next page, the option of "Your Telegram Core" will open. Click on delete account.

4.  On the next page, enter a reason why you leaving Telegram. And then click on the Done button below.

5.  After that, a pop-up option will ask you, "Are You Sure". Click on "yes, delete my account."

Your Telegram account is now deleted. You can remove the app from your device. After few days, if you change your mind, you can create a new account with that phone number.
